This gourd ladle-shaped bronze yi has three feet. It has an oval-shaped open mouth with everted rim, a deep belly, a round bottom, a wide and short flowing channel, under which there is a nipple, a tail handle that shapes like phoenix tail, and three horseshoe-shaped feet. It has the typical shape of bronze yi during the late Western Zhou period. The belly of the bronze yi is encircled with patterns of kui (a mythical dragon-like beast). On the tail handle, there are patterns of thunders and cirrus clouds.
